Your Customer Uses Traceable — Here Is What That Means for You

The EU now requires Digital Product Passports for products sold in Europe. Your customer needs supply chain data from you to comply. Traceable makes it simple — no account to create, no software to install, no cost to you.

You access one of five isolated portals in the Traceable platform — the Supplier Portal. Your data is visible only to the operator who requested it. You control every share.

How it works — three steps, no friction

1

Receive an email

Your customer sends you a data request via Traceable. You receive an email with a one-time access code.

2

Review and approve the request

Log in with your OTP code. You see exactly what your customer is requesting and why. You choose what to share — upload certifications, enter component data, respond to due diligence questions. You can also decline. Nothing is shared without your explicit approval.

3

Done

Your data flows into your customer's product passport. You close the tab. No account, no subscription, no follow-up required.

What you will typically be asked to provide

The exact data depends on your product type and your customer's regulation. Common requests include:

  • Material composition and recycled content percentages
  • Test reports and safety certificates (PDF upload)
  • Country of origin for raw materials
  • Carbon footprint data for your component
  • REACH/SVHC declarations
  • Declarations of conformity

Your data is protected

You see only your requests

The portal shows only data requests directed to you. You cannot see other suppliers, other products, or any of your customer's proprietary data.

Encrypted and EU-hosted

All data is encrypted at rest and in transit, hosted in EU data centres. Full GDPR compliance. Your uploaded documents are stored securely and accessible only to your customer.

No account required

OTP-authenticated access means no username, no password, no profile to maintain. Each session is independently verified.

Audit trail

Every data submission is timestamped and attributed. Both you and your customer have a clear record of what was provided and when.

Supplier FAQ

No. Supplier portal access is free. Your customer's Traceable subscription covers the platform. You pay nothing.

Yes. If you also manufacture products that need EU Digital Product Passports, you can create your own Traceable account — starting with the free plan at no cost.

Each customer sends separate data requests. Your data for Customer A is never visible to Customer B. Complete isolation between all customers. You can also build a materials library — upload your material specifications once and reuse them across data requests from any customer, without re-entering the same data each time.

The EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542) requires battery passports from February 2027. The ESPR (2024/1781) extends Digital Product Passport requirements to textiles, tyres, electronics, and eventually all products sold in the EU.

Need your own Digital Product Passports?

If your own products need EU DPPs, start with the free plan. Every supplier that uses the portal can also become a platform customer — with data they have already entered carrying over.
