Platform · Supplier Portal
Stop chasing suppliers over email. Start collecting in days.
The Supplier Portal is where your supply chain compliance data actually gets collected — structured, auditable, and AI-assisted. Manufacturers stop emailing PDFs and spreadsheets. Suppliers enter their compliance data once, then reuse it across every customer relationship.
The old way of collecting supply chain data is broken
Collecting compliance data from a 40-supplier chain typically takes 3–6 months of email chasing, PDF forwarding, and manual re-entry. That's not a process — it's a liability. And it happens again for every regulation, every audit, every product update.
Without Traceable
With Traceable
One portal. Two sides of the supply chain. Both benefit.
Most compliance tools are built for manufacturers and treat suppliers as a data source to be interrogated. Traceable's Supplier Portal is built for both — because a portal suppliers actually want to use is the only way manufacturers actually get their data.
AI-powered
AI that works for both sides of the table
Powered by Claude — Anthropic's frontier AI, with zero data retention and EU data hosting. Every AI output is human-reviewable. Nothing is auto-submitted without your approval.
Certificate OCR & autofill
Suppliers upload a PDF certificate. AI reads it, extracts compliance fields, and pre-fills the request form — with confidence scores per field. Humans review and approve.
Material smart-suggest
When a supplier adds a new material, AI flags applicable REACH SVHC checks, RoHS substance restrictions, and relevant standards — before the customer asks.
Anomaly & forgery detection
AI cross-references extracted certificate data against issuer patterns and known standards. Inconsistencies are flagged before data enters your passport.
Risk explainer & playbook
When a supplier's compliance score drops, AI explains exactly why — in plain language — and generates 3 actionable tasks for resolution.
Request translation
Data requests are automatically translated to the supplier's preferred language. A German supplier receives a Battery Regulation questionnaire in German, not English legalese.
Test report summariser
Long multi-page test reports summarised to key claims, scope, and limitations. Manufacturers review the summary before accepting the full document into the DPP.
All AI outputs require human confirmation before being committed to any DPP. Zero data retention on Anthropic's side. EU data centres. Full AI architecture →
Platform moat
Every supplier onboarded makes the whole network stronger.
When a supplier completes their compliance profile for your company, that same identity is already half-complete for the next manufacturer who invites them. Their material specifications, certifications, and substance declarations are already there — they just need to approve the share for each new relationship.
1×
Data entered
Supplier enters compliance data once into their Traceable profile
N×
Requests fulfilled
Every future operator can pull from that same profile — with supplier approval
0×
Re-entry required
REACH declarations, certificates, and material specs are never re-typed
"A supplier onboarded for Operator A is half-onboarded for Operator B. This is the Compounding Supplier Network — not a marketing concept, but a structural advantage that compounds with every supplier relationship created on the platform."
Platform design principle — Traceable
How the Supplier Portal works
From first invite to published DPP — in four steps. No software for suppliers to install. No account to create. No delays.
Manufacturer sends structured data requests
Not an email — a structured questionnaire.
You select a compliance template (Battery Reg, REACH, RoHS, ESPR — or custom), choose which suppliers to send it to, and click send. Each supplier receives an email with a one-time access code and a clear description of exactly what is being requested and why.
Supplier accesses the portal in one click
One-time code. No account. No friction.
The supplier clicks the link in their email, enters a 6-digit OTP, and enters their dedicated portal session. They see the request, the specific fields required, and a materials library with any data they've previously entered. If they've answered similar questions before — for you or any other Traceable customer — those answers are available to reuse in one click.
AI assists — humans approve
Upload documents. AI does the reading.
The supplier uploads test reports, declarations, and certificates. AI extracts compliance-relevant values and pre-fills request fields — with a confidence score per field. The supplier reviews the AI's work, corrects where needed, and submits. Nothing is sent to the manufacturer without the supplier's explicit approval. Everything is audit-logged.
Data flows into the DPP automatically
No re-entry. No copy-paste. Compliance score updates immediately.
Approved supplier data merges into the product record. Compliance score recalculates in real time. The DPP shows the supplier attribution alongside each data point — making the full supply chain traceable for market surveillance authorities. The supplier can see where their data landed.
What the portal looks like — for both sides
Manufacturer — Supplier scorecard
Supplier — Compliance identity dashboard
Designed for regulated data. Secure by architecture.
Supplier data doesn't just need to be collected — it needs to stand up in an audit. Traceable's architecture is built for exactly that: every data point is provenance-stamped, every share is consent-gated, and every session is isolated.
- Row-level security — suppliers can only see their own requests
- OTP authentication — no shared passwords, no credential sprawl
- Explicit consent gate — every data share requires supplier approval
- Immutable audit log — every submission timestamped and attributed
- Data residency in EU — hosted on Supabase EU region (Frankfurt)
- GDPR-compliant — full DPA and subprocessor transparency
Questions about the Supplier Portal
No. Supplier portal access is always free. Your Traceable subscription as a manufacturer covers the cost of inviting and collecting data from your entire supply chain. Suppliers pay nothing.
This is exactly where the network effect kicks in. A supplier who has fulfilled requests for Operator A has already built their compliance profile — material specs, certifications, substance declarations. When Operator B invites them, that data is available to reuse. The supplier approves each new share individually. Their data for Operator A is never visible to Operator B without their explicit consent.
When a supplier uploads a certificate, test report, or declaration, AI reads the full document and auto-fills compliance request fields — mapping values to the correct DPP attributes. Each field carries a confidence score. The supplier reviews the AI's work, corrects anything below their threshold, and submits. Nothing is sent to the manufacturer without the supplier's explicit approval. Powered by Anthropic Claude, with zero data retention.
Multi-tier supply chain collection is part of the Traceable roadmap. The underlying data model already supports Tier-N cascading — a supplier can themselves act as an operator for their own upstream suppliers, forwarding specific sub-questions down the chain. This capability is in active development.
EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542) questionnaires are available today, covering Annex XIII due diligence, carbon footprint, and recycled content. REACH SVHC, RoHS 3, and ESPR-based templates are in development. Custom templates can be configured for any product type or compliance requirement.
The portal tracks certificate expiry dates. Suppliers receive automated reminders at 60, 30, and 7 days before expiry. Manufacturers see expiring certifications flagged in their supplier scorecard. This is part of the evidence lifecycle management built into the platform.
