What you must provide

1 71 data points enumerated in the Commission guidance, of which 47 are mandatory for electric vehicle batteries at 18 February 2027, 50 for LMT and 32 for industrial above 2 kWh
2 A unique identifier conforming to the ISO/IEC 15459 series, carried by a QR code on every battery (Article 77(3))
3 Registration in the EU digital product passport registry, which the Commission is required to establish by 19 July 2026 under Article 13(1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1781
4 A carbon footprint declaration and performance class under Article 7, once the methodology delegated act is adopted. That act was due 18 February 2024 and has not been adopted, so the obligation has not commenced
5 Third-party verification of carbon footprint data, on the same conditional timing as the declaration itself
